Claudia Valdés began her dance training at age of 5 as a student at Gloria Campobello’s Dance School in Tijuana, Baja California, México, from where she graduated with a B.A. in Dance in 2003. Claudia has been a company member of Minerva Tapia’s Dance Group since 1999 and has had the opportunity to represent the company in several national and international dance festivals such as: “XXIII National Institute of the Arts” in Mexico City (2001); “Sushi Project” in San Diego, California (2002); “3rd. Blue Grass State International Dance Festival” in La Grange, Kentucky (2008); “Border Dances” at Frida Kahlo Theatre in Los Angeles, California (2008); “Border Dances” at the Orpheum Theater in Flagstaff, Arizona (2009); “23rd World Dance Congress” at Teatro Cervantes in Malaga, Spain (2009) and "Border Dances" at the Joyce Soho in New York. Currently, she is a member of the International Dance Congress.
